The shutter lock straight shackle design makes the lock slightly less versatile but invariably more secure against force attacks. It is also encased within a hardened steel body making it ideal for protecting valuable stock and business items with a roller shutter. It is an insurance-approved padlock up to a European CEN standard of grade 3.
Their shape makes them very popular for use on shipping containers with enclosed lockboxes since you don't need to curve the shackle around into the hole like you would with a traditional padlock.
A corrosion-resistant internal mechanism makes it suitable for outdoor use on shutters, bollards, and gates.
