Shipping Container Double Doors

Not your standard steel double door

These shipping container double personnel doors have been engineered purposely for the shipping container manufacturing and conversion industry. PU foam insulation, a fully welded, prebuilt frame and sealed joints make for a stiff, rigid door set ready for easy installation when welding into a shipping container. An increased tolerance has been factored in to allow for movement in the shipping container when in transit or when positioned on an uneven surface. Please be advised the industry standard for fitting container doors is with a goalpost or some kind of frame. Finish

Wet sprayed with a grey primer finish, the paint has been designed to take your final paint coat on-site. We recommend painting within 24 hours of install.

Construction

Manufactured with 1mm galvanised steel door skins and 2mm galvanised steel frames.

Insulation

Insulated with polyurethane foam (also known as PU foam), the door leaf AND frame are injected with PU foam for superior insulation values and improved strength and rigidity.

Internal reinforcements

A full subframe, weld mesh, door closer reinforcing plate and additional corner struts are welded inside the door for additional strength and integrity.

Locking System

The trademark Genuine HOOPLY® multi point locking system is integrated into our container personnel doors. The locking system is protected with 2mm lock boxes and stainless steel tubes to protect the connecting rods. An adjustable latch keep is integrated to the strike plate and lock box, to allow for on-site adjustments. 2 flush bolts also secure the passive leaf in place.

DDA Compliant Threshold

This door complies with the Disability Discrimination Act by having a level threshold with a maximum upstand of only 12mm with chamfered edges. The threshold is manufactured from stainless steel.
